We offer three levels of progressive leadership training:
- Basic Leadership Skills for new and frontline supervisors (12 sessions).
- Intermediate Leadership Skills for mid-level managers (10 sessions).
- Executive Leadership Skills for top-level and administrative personnel (6 sessions).
Why a series instead of a seminar?
Expecting to come out of a one-time workshop with any real leadership skill is a little like expecting to look like a bodybuilder after one visit to a gym. Developing real leadership skills takes time and effort. The problem is that in today's fast-paced work environment, critical failures of leadership often occur before the natural learning curve can be completed.
The Leadership Skills Series is specifically designed to accelerate the learning curve. It is a series of 90 minute sessions to allow each participant time between sessions to actually employ and experiment with the concepts introduced in each session.
The approach in the Leadership Skills Series combines didactic experience, discussion of real issues, mentoring, group feedback, and team building in a safe environment. This allows the participants to develop some leadership "muscle" and to enhance peer networking.
Leadership vs. management
It is said that managers do things right, while leaders do the right thing. Management is ministerial in nature, dealing with processes and outputs, policy and procedure. If these things alone were sufficient to guarantee the success of an organization, managers could simply be replaced by a well-written policy manual.
The concept of leadership recognizes the impact of the human in the workplace environment. Organizations are not made up of lines and boxes represented in an organizational chart, but of people.
The quality of an organization's leadership, more than anything else, will determine its success or failure.
Their success is your success
You know the cost of failed leadership: lost productivity, increased grievances and in-fighting, low morale, high turnover. If the leadership culture of your organization is less than optimal, then your competitive edge is gone.
The Leadership Skills Series will help you build an organizational culture where success is not only attainable, but natural.
Our programs can be tailored to meet the unique needs and challenges of your organization.
